This annotated checklist represents a significant body of original research. Based on 4000 collections it increases our knowledge of this botanically poorly known region. Seven major vegetation types are described for the Reserve. A discussion is presented on what is necessary to increase the value of botanical checklists from a poorly
known tropical area. Well researched species names make up the backbone of this work, supported by specimen and literature citations. In addition information on phenology, distribution and vegetation types are presented for each species. In the absence of any Flora covering this area, this checklist will be essential reference for any botanical research in the region.
